flute is a vocal instrument. it produces sound when we blow air direct across the hole in the instrument.when we blow air near the close end it excites the air in side the cylindrical tube create a pressure wave. a player can vary the pitch(freq.) by opening and closing the holes of flute(f=kv/l,f-freq.,k-constant,v=velocity,l=length of tube).it is clear from the relation that increase in length of air column decreases the pitch.when a player starts opening the holes from open end, the out coming sound become shriller, but the flute has only six holes to play.it means the player faces a limitation.do you agree with the statement?
